Over the last few years the Université de Haute-Alsace has consistently sought to grow the standing and scientific potential of its laboratories. Project proposals and submissions under national and European tenders have helped develop new networks for the university. UHA has now set in place measures to support scientific excellence and to measure its impact at different levels, to encourage the creation of networks of researchers for UHA’s chosen specialist themes and to enhance research visibility at the international level.

The Project Engineering Service is a key means of support for UHA science teams and has as its objectives :

• To help and advise researchers from the initial set up of their projects in order to enhance chances of success
• To support them in their response to calls for projects (analysis, choice of appropriate programmes, interface with sources of finance, writing of applications and proposals, help with budget production and presentation, assistance with negotiations)
• To ensure the establishment of a support system for administration and financial matters relating to approved projects in collaboration with the different services involved (legal, research funding, human resources, financial accounting).
