Universities account for the principal proportion of Higher Education student numbers in France : of the total number of students enrolled in Higher Education (in excess of 2,400,000) nearly two thirds (approximately 1,500,000) are at university.

University areas of study are broadly divided into the following fields of training :

• Law, Politics & Societal studies

• Science & Sustainability
• Digital studies & Innovation industries

They are organised by qualification level in accordance with the European scheme as a function of the number of years of study post-Baccalauréat : +3, +5, +8.

The Université de Haute-Alsace offers more than 170 education and training programmes.

Foreign students are offered to come to study at UHA on multiple mobility programmes.
